Estonian Traffic Insurance Foundation is a non-profit organisation whose members are enterprises operating as insurers of traffic insurance in Estonia. The target of Estonian Traffic Insurance Foundation is to promote common tasks of insurers of traffic insurance system.
Estonian Traffic Insurance Foundation
1) compensates traffic damage caused by uninsured and unidentified vehicles;
2) administers the information system of traffic insurance and register of traffic insurance ;
3) fulfils the tasks of compensation body and information centre;
4) is the insurer of cross-boarder insurance
5) is the green card bureau in Estonia;
6) organises damage prevention;
7) organises solution of insurance disputes.
Estonian Traffic Insurance Foundation is a guarantee fund according to the Traffic Third Party Liability Insurance Act.
